Kristine Bjornstad had several exciting opportunity to do some work again with Pilates Style Magazine.
In Pilates Style SPECIAL ISSUE: HIT and Run artical Kristine discusses how she incorporates high intensity training (HIT) into to hybrid Pilates workouts. Kristine works in about nine to 18 minutes of HIIT during a 55-minute Pilates session.
“I have my client get off the Pilates Reformer periodically and do three 90-second sets of explosive exercises using her own body as resistance,” she says. (Think lunges, squats, football shuffles, and tough jumps.) Recovery between bursts is marching or light jogging. more

Fall 2010
This past fall Anna Kooiman from FOX News Rising came to the studio and taped three great segments on Pilates training and how it improves sports performance. I showed her exercises on the reformer, tower, and chair. These exercises can help to improve someone’s golf game, tennis match, or running time. Pilates improves core strength, increases flexibility, and helps create balanced strength. We also did a separate segment on high intensity interval training and how this can help people to become stronger on the slopes for skiing and snowboarding.
Spring 2010
Kitchen clean out was the theme for Kristine Bjornstad’s segments on FOX News Rising. Kristine met with co-host Anna Kooiman on 2 separate occasions educating their viewers on what foods are better substitutes and why. Today, so many of the foods we eat are loaded with preservatives, artificial flavors and enhancers, and artificial sweeteners. These chemicals can be toxic to the body and damaging to the hormonal system. This can be a real challenge for those of us tying to loose weight and achieve optimal health.
This first segment aired took a close look at the foods we keep in the pantry and the second focused on the foods in the fridge. To learn more about this contact Kristine Bjornstad.
Fall 2009
FOX News Rising came up to Lake Norman to Perfect Form studio in the fall of 2009 and filmed five different segments on Pilates and strength training. Kristine had FOX News co-host Anna Kooiman workout with her on the Pilates reformer, the bosu, the
stability ball, and do some Pilates mat work. Kristine wanted to inform and educate the viewers of the diversity that the studio, located in Cornelius, offers and the great benefits of cross training.
